Frederick Hooper 1879 - 1891

Frederick Hooper was our cousin - the nephew of our 2xGGrandfather Richard Hooper. On 9th February 1891 he was playing on the London Chatham and Dover Railway line at Chatham with some friends. He tripped and fell when he was running out of the path of a train, and the whole train ran over his legs, severing them completely. He was given emergency treatment at St Bartholomews hospital Rochester (pictured). He died from his injuries at home in Shoreditch about two months later, aged 12.
